Privacy Policy

Pocket Travel is Ashley Pehl, an independent travel advisor affiliated with Fora Travel, Inc., based in Escondido, California. This policy explains what personal information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.

What I collect

Contact details: your name, email, phone number and city or state.
Trip details: dates, destinations, budget, travel style and any occasion you're celebrating.
Traveler details for bookings: legal names, dates of birth, loyalty numbers, and passport details for international trips. Health, accessibility or dietary needs only if you choose to share them.
Website and email data: pages visited, device and browser type, cookies, and whether newsletter emails are opened or clicked.

I don't collect or keep credit card numbers. Payments go through Fora's secure payment tools or a supplier's secure payment link.

How I use it

To answer your questions and to plan, book and support your trip.
To send agreements, invoices and trip documents.
To send my newsletter, only if you've opted in.
To improve my website and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

Who I share it with

Fora Travel, Inc., the travel agency I book through, and the travel suppliers needed for your trip (such as hotels, cruise lines, and tour and transfer companies).
Service providers that help run my business: Wix (website and forms), Mailchimp (newsletter), Calendly (scheduling) and Google (email and calendar). They may use your information only to provide their services.
Government authorities, when the law requires it.

I do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long I keep it

I keep contact and trip details while you're a client and as long as needed for your bookings. Business and tax records are kept for at least 3 years. Passport and ID copies are deleted from email and downloads once they're saved in Fora's secure system.

How I protect it

Traveler details are kept in Fora's secure client profiles, not in spreadsheets or paper notes. I never ask for card numbers by email, text or social media. No system is perfectly secure, but I take care to keep your information safe.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from my emails anytime using the link at the bottom of any email.
Ask what personal information I have about you, or ask me to correct or delete it.
California residents have the right to know, correct and delete their personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (I don't sell or share it), and not to be treated differently for using these rights.

Cookies

My website is hosted by Wix and uses cookies so the site works properly and so I can understand site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Children

My website and services are meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information online from children under 13. Details about minors traveling with a parent or guardian are collected only from that adult, for bookings.

Other websites

Fora, travel suppliers and booking links have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use their sites.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
